HR 2454 American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009
AKA Cap and Trade Bill

The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 is intended to create clean energy jobs, achieve energy independence, reduce global warming pollution and transition to a clean energy economy. This law would support transition and provide long-term stability for the economy, environment and the solar industry.

HR 2454 was introduced on May 15, 2009, passed in the House of Representatives on June 26, 2009 and if signed into law would take effect in 2011.
